Local Conductor Uses Celebration to Support Talented Youth

Often when we think about attending a birthday celebration we are consumed with getting a gift for the honoree.  The beautiful thing about this particular situation is that the honoree presented a gift to us!

Greg Watkins assembled all of his friends and family at BusBoys and Poets (14th and V) to celebrate his 30th birthday with the stipulation that in lieu of gifts, that a donation be made to the Washington Youth Choir.

Countertenor Kenneth Alston was among the guest artists to perform.

Talented artists performed throughout the evening, building to the evening’s close with the talented voices of The Washington Youth Choir.
